Just A Step Away

Just A Step Away, Jesse Tam. Living in the Pacific Northwest with beautiful sunshine and patio dining on South Lake Union. The record breaking heat and dry weather allows us to appreciate the landscape a few steps away.  What a refreshing way to take a brisk stroll along the boardwalk and watch the boats, seaplane, seagulls just a few...

Clear blue skies with a view of the mountains are just a great way to relax and enjoy an afternoon or evening in the Seattle area.  Enjoy lunch on the the lake with a brisk walk, there's more to see and do with the trolley nearby. The region provides many opportunities for job growth, trade export/import, research and more. Stay connected.

Sounders Season Highlights

Sounders Season Highlights, ready for game.  Jesse Tam, soccer fans and team leadership success for the year.  What an exciting season for our Sounders family and friends so far.  It's been history making with all the things going on this month.  Here's to team leaders, come back MLS history, youth movement...Read about the Team Success .

1. 3-0-0 in July

The Sounders have a chance to win four matches in a single month for the fourth time since 2009. Only three times have the Sounders won every match in a month’s span (1-0-0 in March 2009; 2-0-0 in May 2014; 3-0-0 in October 2009). July 2017 could be pretty special.

2. 3+ goals in 3 straight games

It’s the first time in club history this has happened in regular-season action...

3. Biggest Comeback in MLS History

It took 4,916 games, but the Sounders became the first team in MLS history to overcome a three-goal deficit and win. Against D.C. United on July 19, the Sounders were losing 3-0 in the 50thminute. Within 27 minutes, it was 4-3. The Sounders are also the first team in league history to overcome two three-goal deficits in a single season (trailed 0-3 to New England in April, tied 3-3).

Explore Mount Rainier Trails

Start planning with Jesse Tam to explore the trails of Mount Rainier National Park, located 54 miles south-southeast of Seattle is one of the oldest and most visited parks. Summer on the mountain with Jesse and friends. The park celebrated its 118th birthday on March 2. President McKinley signed legislation creating the 230,000 acre park in 1899, creating the 5th National Park in the country.  It is the highest mountain in Washington and the Cascade Range.

There are snowy glaciers, wildlife and unforgettable mountain trails to explore. There are plenty of waterfalls, but Silver Falls is a fairly easily accessible via the three mile loop Silver Falls Trail. Meander through old-growth forest and watch for woodpeckers, deer and other wildlife.  The park is open year round and can be fun even in winter time.

Plan a trip and play in the snow or go on a ranger-led snowshoe hike, sledding or snowmobiling.  We drove with friends to the mountain and stopped at the visitor center Paradise and took a few hours to hike the trails. There are opportunities to sign up for Ranger led programs throughout the park all year.  The programs focus on geology, wildlife, ecology, mountaineering and park history.  Enjoy a day trip or stay several days at the lodge and see some of the best trails in Mount Rainier National Park.

Take a breathtaking hike along one of the marked trails and see the wildflowers.  Experience hikers can take more challenging trails and explore the waterfalls and lakes.  Remember to pack snacks, water and layer clothing for change in weather condition. Thanks for reading Jesse http://bit.ly/1sMp6Wf

Seattle Pike Place Market

Seattle Pike Place Market, Jesse Tam is one of the favorite places visit with friends. Long winter for some in the Seattle and northwest as we had early snow and cold temperatures for several weeks. Boise had a record snow and rain in Southern California ending the drought for the region.  February is just around the corner as we begin to welcome our favorite spring flowers at the Pike Place Market stalls.

Year round you will find locals and out of town visitors enjoying the flowers, fresh produce, crafts, seafood, music and so many more vendors sharing their products.

Spring tulips are a favorite at the market to cheer up the crowd on chilly days in Seattle.

Vendors at Pike Place Market with colorful tulips, harvested from the local farms and fields in the northwest.

November Supermoon is Closest to Earth

November Supermoon is closest to earth on Monday, Nov.14. Jesse Tam, plan the viewing sites to see history. The northwest areas Seattle and Bellevue overcast skies forecast. It will be especially “super” because it’s the closest full moon to Earth since 1948. We won’t see another Supermoon like this until 2034.  The best time to see it is early Monday morning before sunrise, as the moon is closest to Earth at 6:22 am, EST.

Sunday night and Monday night are also good times to view Earth's natural satellite.  Astonomers call the closest to the Earth movement the perigee. The special moon on November 14 becomes full within about two hours of perigee.

Origin of Supermoon Phenomenon

"You won't want to miss the biggest, brightest full Moon in more than 68 years. Find out what makes this supermoon so special and how best to view it."

Stay connected Jesse Tam,  Fall season of Seattle and Bellevue with changing colors across the landscape. A time to reflect as the autumn colors and crisp cool morning bring changes to the falling leaves. Busy schedules filled with tasks and things to do and back to school for some of family members.

Let's remember to think about gratitude.  What is the important thing in our everyday living? The ingredient to a successful life...

On the Go Bellevue

On the Go Bellevue, Jesse Tam. The first 365 Whole Food Market in Washington is opened at Bellevue Square. The mall location is smaller and less expensive than the organic food grocer with fewer items. The store emphasis is on convenience with more prepared food, salad bars, kiosks to order hot foods and lower aisles.  The store has 400 wines under $20 and salads and hot items are sold by containers not weight.

This Bellevue store is targeting mall shoppers, office workers, nearby residents and mall workers. The space feels more open and colorful and carries 7,000 compared to  25,000 items to the traditional store.

Next trip to the mall can be easier with quick meals after a long day of shopping and on the go. Don't need to worry about cooking and plan ahead meals, just grab and go with fresh salads and prepared items.  Enjoy shopping and browsing at the stores,  Stay connected

It's a Heat Wave

Seattle and the sunny blue skies are bringing a heat wave this weekend with predicted high for SeaTac in the mid 90s today, Friday. Jesse Tam, stay hydrated and remember to apply sunscreen and hats. The high temperatures are expected to shatter records across Western Washington. The heat comes with warning to stay hydrated and not leave children inside parked cars.

Outdoor burn bans are in effect for the Puget Sound region and banned campfires on all Department of Natural Resource land state.  Potential fire danger with the dry grass, trees and median could spark fires.

The warm weather will stay around Saturday for the weekend and then begin to cool off again. Don't forget the sunscreen and shade during the mid-day sun.  Watch for pets and walk them during the early morning or evening when pavements are not as hot.

Bellevue Wireless Smart Store

Bellevue welcomes the opening of the newest Verizon Wireless Smart Store located in the Bellevue Square Mall. It's a popular mall where Jesse Tam see's changes and growth on the Eastside. The 5,657-square-foot store will allow customers to interact with new technology, new phones and "Lifestyle Zones".

The open, well-lit interior of the Verizon Store will provide guests a comfortable experience, the company said.

It will include  include "Get Fit" for sports, "Amplify It" for music, "Power" for gaming, "Home and On the Go" for home monitoring and energy management and "Anywhere Business" for professionals and entrepreneurs.

Our Goals and Accomplishments

The beginning of May with Jesse Tam  from Bellevue/Seattle, a time for us to reflect on our goals and accomplishments.  Seattle spring arrived with cherry blossoms at the UW Quad and Bellevue sheep shearing held at Kelsey Creek Park.  A time to take a breather from the daily grime to reflect on the real self.  Did you make a wish list of goals and targets  this year?  The list should be getting shorter or with a few items crossed off.

The things we accomplish are slow and require hard work and at times, stumbling blocks before we reached the final step.  Success does not happen overnight and may require several do overs before it's just right.   The conditions change and can be unpredictable, but stay with it and don't give up the fight.  Our actions and reaction will predict the outcome.

Remember if the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.

When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached,
don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps

Mariners Opening Season Safeco Field

Seattle is proud to welcome Ken Griffey, Jr back to Safeco Field.  He will be inducted into the   National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in July. Griffey is the  first player as a Mariner to be inducted.  A celebration is planned later in the season to recognized his induction.  Opening season for the Seattle Mariner's home game on Friday, April 8 against the Oakland Athletics was another sold out crowd.  A perfect spring evening with the first pitch by no other than our own Ken Griffey Jr. who came out of retirement momentarily.
