The high temperatures are expected to shatter records across Western Washington. The heat comes with warning to stay hydrated and not leave children inside parked cars.
Outdoor burn bans are in effect for the Puget Sound region and banned campfires on all Department of Natural Resource land state. Potential fire danger with the dry grass, trees and median could spark fires.
The warm weather will stay around Saturday for the weekend and then begin to cool off again. Don't forget the sunscreen and shade during the mid-day sun. Watch for pets and walk them during the early morning or evening when pavements are not as hot.
